小学生の頃にピアノを習い、中学生の頃にギターを習得。同時期に友人のバンドに誘われたことをきっかけにベースの演奏も始める。
大学在学中にアニメに熱中したことから、その世界観を支えるアニメソングやキャラクターソングに興味を持ち、自分も音楽を通して何かを表現したいと考えるようになる。大学卒業後は尚美ミュージックカレッジ専門学校（アレンジ・作曲学科）に進学し、作曲を始めた。また、中学から専門学校にかけて継続してバンド活動を行っていた。
アニメ・ボカロ系のサウンドのみならず、POPSを軸にFunk、Dance等のトラックメイクも可能。また、バンド活動の経験から、バンド編成のアレンジやギターサウンドの扱いにも長けている。耳なじみのよいキャッチーなトップライン制作に定評がある他、楽曲やアーティストの世界観を重視し、そのバックグラウンドやキャラクター性を落とし込んだ歌詞の制作が強み。
業界を目指すきっかけとなったアニメソングやVtuberへの楽曲提供に加え、より多岐に渡ったジャンルやアーティストでの楽曲提供にも意欲を見せている。
Yuta Azuma is a talented and versatile musician who began playing instruments at a young age, starting with piano and guitar. He quickly expanded his repertoire by joining a friend’s band during his secondary school years, where he picked up the bass guitar.
It was during his time in university that Yuta’s passion for anime music took hold. He became fascinated by how the songs and characters could support the world view of the anime, and he knew he wanted to create his own music to express something similar.
After graduating, Yuta Azuma pursued his dream of composing music by enrolling in SHOBI College of Music’s Arrangement & Composition Department, where he honed his craft. He has been an active member of various bands since junior high school to vocational school, which has equipped him with the skills to arrange and handle guitar sounds for a wide range of genres.
Yuta Azuma’s repertoire spans beyond anime and vocaloid-related music, as he excels at creating tracks for the pop world, whether that’s inspired by Funk, Dance, and more. He has a keen ear for crafting toplines that are both catchy and easy on the ears, and his strength lies in incorporating the artist’s personal background and character into his lyrics while still emphasising the song’s world view.
In addition to his work with anime songs and Vtubers, Yuta Azuma is eager to provide his talents to a wider variety of genres and artists.
